Consensus Summary

What owners say

Aggregated themes from hundreds of discussions across Reddit, Team-BHP, and direct owner reports.

Stunning Looks

Coupe-like sloping roof and connected rear LED bar give it a very modern, head-turning look.

Boosterjet Performance

The 1.0L turbo petrol is snappy and eager, especially when paired with the 6-speed torque converter AT.

Headroom

Tall rear passengers note that the sloping roofline slightly compromises headroom compared to Baleno.

The petrol turbo engine has got genuine punch. The MT transmission shifts are lightning-quick and smooth. Extremely fun to drive on open highway stretches.

Good ride comfort at low speeds, but it feels floaty above 100 km/h. Feature list is huge, but some tech like wireless charger heats up the phone without charging it quickly.

Loving my Maruti Fronx petrol. The engine is exceptionally refined and quiet at idle, sometimes I have to check the tachometer to see if it is running. The ride is soft and comfortable.

The engine refinement is top-notch and features are great, but the 3-cylinder thrum at lower RPMs is slightly noticeable. Mileage is highly sensitive to throttle inputs (9 to 15 km/l).

The waiting period for the popular variants is ridiculous — dealers are quoting 4 months and forcing you to buy overpriced accessories and insurance from them to get early delivery.

WHEELBASE 2520mmH: 1550mmLENGTH 3995mmWIDTH 1765mm

Wheelbase (2,520 mm)

On the Fronx, the wheelbase is about average wheelbase for its segment. Rear space is typical for cars in this segment. A longer wheelbase also reduces pitch over potholes and speed breakers.

Automobile Literacy

Jargon-Free Safety & Tech

What all those complex brochure codes actually mean in plain, practical terms.

ESC (Electronic Stability Control) & VSM

Emergency Anti-Skid. If the vehicle senses a loss of traction (like on wet mud or when swerving to avoid an obstacle), it automatically applies brakes to individual wheels to keep you on your steered path. Essential for safety.

HAC (Hill-start Assist Control)

Roll-back Prevention. When starting the vehicle on a steep slope (like a flyover or basement mall ramp), it holds the brakes for 2 seconds after you release the pedal, giving you time to move your foot to the accelerator.

6 SRS Airbags (Standard)

Full-Cabin Cushioning. Protects all occupants in case of an impact. Includes two front airbags, two seat-mounted side airbags, and two curtain airbags that shield front and rear passengers' heads from side window impacts.

All-Wheel Disc Brakes

Consistent Stopping Power. Unlike drum brakes, disc brakes dissipate heat quickly, preventing brake fade. They stop the vehicle shorter, more predictably, and with far less foot pressure.

Star Map LED DRLs & Headlamps

Advanced Night Vision. LEDs throw a much whiter, wider, and brighter beam than yellow halogens, reducing eye fatigue during night highway runs. Star Map running lights make you highly visible to oncoming traffic.
