Overall a solid packages, but the touchscreen infotainment is prone to random freezes. The cabin is spacious, but the middle rear seat is too narrow and firm for long journeys.
Excellent driving dynamics. Handling is sharp, steering is light in the city but weighs up nicely on the highway. High-speed stability is reassuring and gives lots of confidence.
The biggest issue is the real-world mileage varies with traffic and load. It gets really annoying in daily usage and makes me regret not looking at other segment options.

Real-world city mileage is atrocious. The petrol automatic is giving me barely 8–9 km/l in heavy bumper-to-bumper traffic. Highway is better at 14 km/l, but still disappointing.

On the Wagon R, the wheelbase is about average wheelbase for its segment. Rear space is typical for cars in this segment. A longer wheelbase also reduces pitch over potholes and speed breakers.
What all those complex brochure codes actually mean in plain, practical terms.
Emergency Anti-Skid. If the vehicle senses a loss of traction (like on wet mud or when swerving to avoid an obstacle), it automatically applies brakes to individual wheels to keep you on your steered path. Essential for safety.
Roll-back Prevention. When starting the vehicle on a steep slope (like a flyover or basement mall ramp), it holds the brakes for 2 seconds after you release the pedal, giving you time to move your foot to the accelerator.
Full-Cabin Cushioning. Protects all occupants in case of an impact. Includes two front airbags, two seat-mounted side airbags, and two curtain airbags that shield front and rear passengers' heads from side window impacts.
Consistent Stopping Power. Unlike drum brakes, disc brakes dissipate heat quickly, preventing brake fade. They stop the vehicle shorter, more predictably, and with far less foot pressure.
Advanced Night Vision. LEDs throw a much whiter, wider, and brighter beam than yellow halogens, reducing eye fatigue during night highway runs. Star Map running lights make you highly visible to oncoming traffic.
Every feature translated — what it is, when you'll use it, whether it's worth paying for.
