The historic 5-star crash safety score is the primary reason many safety-conscious buyers picked it.
The segment-first single-pane electric sunroof is a massive hit with kids and younger buyers.
It shares the Swift's Z12E 3-cylinder engine; it is efficient but sounds vocal when revved hard.
Top automatic and sunroof trims cross the ₹10 Lakh mark ex-showroom, which feels steep for a sub-4m compact sedan.

Really love the unprecedented 5-star safety rating on the Dzire. It makes the daily ownership experience so much better. Highly recommend it!
Frequent service intervals for CNG filter replacement and spark plug checks are annoying. The savings in fuel are partially eaten up by extra maintenance.
The waiting period for the popular variants is ridiculous — dealers are quoting 4 months and forcing you to buy overpriced accessories and insurance from them to get early delivery.
Overall a solid packages, but the touchscreen infotainment is prone to random freezes. The cabin is spacious, but the middle rear seat is too narrow and firm for long journeys.
Extremely pocket-friendly commuter. The ride is comfortable, service is cheap, and filling up CNG takes less time now. The performance in city traffic is very adequate.

On the Dzire, the wheelbase is 60 mm shorter than the segment median. Rear legroom is tighter — best if back-seat use is occasional. A longer wheelbase also reduces pitch over potholes and speed breakers.
What all those complex brochure codes actually mean in plain, practical terms.
Emergency Anti-Skid. If the vehicle senses a loss of traction (like on wet mud or when swerving to avoid an obstacle), it automatically applies brakes to individual wheels to keep you on your steered path. Essential for safety.
Roll-back Prevention. When starting the vehicle on a steep slope (like a flyover or basement mall ramp), it holds the brakes for 2 seconds after you release the pedal, giving you time to move your foot to the accelerator.
Full-Cabin Cushioning. Protects all occupants in case of an impact. Includes two front airbags, two seat-mounted side airbags, and two curtain airbags that shield front and rear passengers' heads from side window impacts.
Consistent Stopping Power. Unlike drum brakes, disc brakes dissipate heat quickly, preventing brake fade. They stop the vehicle shorter, more predictably, and with far less foot pressure.
Advanced Night Vision. LEDs throw a much whiter, wider, and brighter beam than yellow halogens, reducing eye fatigue during night highway runs. Star Map running lights make you highly visible to oncoming traffic.
